Why do I need to know my Max Heart Rate?

How do I know what mine is?

A.

The importance of knowing your Max Heart Rate is to determine what training zone you are in, during cardiovascular exercise, resistance training, etc. Determining your MHR is simple. sim Take the number 220 and deduct your age from that number.

Example if you are 25 your MHR would be 195. The closer you get to reaching your MHR during training on a regular basis throughout each exercise the more calories you will burn.
